In this episode, we focus on our legal services in which we provide attorneys for older children in the child welfare system, through our Direct Representation program. Their work can be life-changing for children and youth.
We are the only organization, in Indiana, that offers free, in-house attorneys to represent the rights of older children, in the child welfare system, in court. We advocate for what they want for their future.
Indiana is one of only a handful of states that does not provide attorneys for children.
We believe that if their alleged abuser has a right to an attorney, the child should have an attorney, too.
